Jacaranda Travel has been in business for over 37 years, at the corner of Sunrise Blvd and University Drive in Plantation,
Florida. Our agents are from all over the world, and are avid travellers themselves, with first hand knowledge of most

Diana
Marley, has
been the president
and owner of
Jacaranda Travel
since 2000 when she
bought the agency
from former owner
Julie Jones. She was
born in Jamaica, has
been a Florida
resident for 7 years
and previously owned
Martins Travel, one
of the largest and
oldest travel
agencies in Jamaica.
Diana has been in
travel
administration and
financial management
for over 15 years
and prior to that
was in hotel
management.

to clients." Carrie
Barineau
has specialised
mostly in vacation
travel during her 14
years as a
professional. She
has visited every
state in the union
including five trips
to Alaska, and has
travelled on most
navigable rivers in
America on paddle
wheelers, barges and
small ships. Carrie
really likes 'off
the interstate' road
trips, and enjoying
small towns and
local cuisine. She
is also an avid
cruiser and has been
all over the world
on 41 cruises with
most of the cruise
lines. Her most
memorable trips have
been New Zealand and
Greece. Julie
Jones
started working at
Jacaranda Travel
when she bought the
agency in 1979 with
a partner. After
Diana Marley bought
the agency Julie
focused on handling
corporate accounts
and the upscale and
unique products that
she's always loved.
She has been on some
exotic and wonderful
trips such as a
South African safari
and seeing the
Amazon rain forest
from a little dug
out canoe. Alaska is
her favorite place
on earth and she has
been there 14 times
plus many times to
Europe, New England
and the Caribbean.
With her experience
Julie can ensure
that our clients are
matched up with the
right vacation.
Angela
Bomford was
enjoying a career in
music and acting in
England where she
was born, when she
met and married her
husband Douglas who
was working in
shipping in Peru.
She lived in Panama
for ten years, has
travelled to 28
countries, and still
loves cruising,
especially the
dancing. Angela
really likes helping
people plan
outstanding
vacations that they
can look back on
with joy. You'll
hear her distinctive
voice announcing
British comedies on
WPBT on Friday and
Saturday nights. Olga
Guerrerro
worked for a
European tour
operator early in
her 33 year travel
career, where she
customised European
itineraries and
organised charter
flights. Her years
with Eastern gave
her the ability to
solve most airline
connection and
ticketing problems.
At Plantation Travel
Olga broadened her
knowledge of Europe
and her ability to
match her
sophisticated
clients with the
right travel
products. Today at
Jacaranda Travel she
has become our
specialist on Italy,
making many personal
trips all over Italy
and attending the
Italy symposium
hosted by their
tourist board.
Trudy
Bucholtz
spent her early
years in Austria,
Switzerland, and
Germany and has been
working in the
travel industry for
the past 30 years.
She has travelled
extensively,
including Europe,
and South and
Central America. She
is a Destination
Specialist who used
to have her own
travel agency and is
familiar with
worldwide river
cruises and tours
along with Russia,
the Orient,
Australia and New
Zealand and of
course Europe !
Maria
Buchsbaum
was born in Hungary
and came to the USA
via Cuba and so she
speaks Spanish,
English and
Hungarian fluently.
She has cruised
extensively
throughout the
Caribbean and Europe
on most cruise
lines, and has been
a Florida resident
since 1978 and a
travel agent for 15
years. Maria most
enjoys travelling
around Europe,
especially Norway,
Italy, Switzerland,
Hungary, Germany,and
Austria. Most
recently she cruised
the Polar Cap to
within 500 miles of
the North Pole. George
Frandsen
has worked to
develop his
knowledge and skills
as an
independent travel
agent for 32 years.
He is pleased to
bring to Jacaranda
Travel his
experience on 42
cruises and dozens
of tours both
domestic
and international.
His client base has
grown on word of
mouth and repeat
business with a high
level of personal
attention to each
booking. George
Nancy Widmer
has been in the travel
business for nearly 40
years. Her favourite cruises were
the Galapagos Islands and
the Chilean fiords. She is still working as a
seminar coordinator,
cruising 6 times a year. Nancy spends her summers in
Ely Minnesota which she says
is ' Gods Country.'
